Abstract
Background: Biological age measurement system which was developed in Korea, is the objective program to asses aging. Pulse wave velocity which is increased by aging, is the predictor of cardiovascular diseases. The objective of this investigation was analysis of chronologic age and biological age measurement system, relationship between biological age measurement system and PWV.

Methods: PWV and biological age measurement system was measured at baseline in 1,148 adults at health care center from January, 2005 to March, 2009. We analysis biological age measurement system and its subordinate. We investigated the correlation between biological age measurement system and PWV by pearsons¡¯s correlation.

Results: In thirties, fifties, sixties, seventies, mean of biological age measurement system is higher than chrohologic age. Both age is positive correlation with PWV (P£¼0.0001). And Biological age measurement system is signigicantly associated with PWV than chronologic age. The difference of chronologic age and biological age measurement system is negative correlation with PWV (¥â=?0.072, P£¼0.05).

Conclusion: In our investigation, significantly biological age measurement system has correlation with PWV than chronologic age. In details of biological age measurement system, hormonal age and pulmonary age have more correlation with PWV.
